Welding Test

ASME CODE, Section IX
1. Reduced - section tension test.
Shop or contractor qualifying test.
2. Free - bend test.
Shop or contractor-qualifying procedure test. Bend atleast 30% before failure occurs.
3. Root - bend test.
Bottom / root of the weld
4. Side - bend test.
For qualifying operators
5. Face - bend test.
